The Dames of Dallas

Here is a photograph of my great cousin Nancy, my great Aunt my grandfather's sister, Doris, my Aunt Loretta, Aunt Linda, my mom, me and Hannah. Nancy and Doris live in Dallas, Texas, and they offered to have us gals over to have a big time in big "D." Loretta lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, so when we decided to drive to Dallas, she made her plane reservations and flew in to see us. We had a ball visiting, eating, and of course, we shopped until we dropped. Hannah stole the show, as usual, but Aunt Doris's and Nancy's cooking and hospitality came in a close second. Everything was done with such southern charm. It almost felt like we were part of a Southern Living magazine. Each morning, the table was decorated with fine linens, silverware, and an assortment of cakes, breads, and jams for our dining pleasure. For lunch and dinner they always had fresh brewed tea and homemade meals, complete with many wonderful desserts. It was like dining at the royal palace.

And these ladies sure know where to shop!! We went from one end of Dallas to the other in search of the best bargains at Sam Moon, Steinmart, Chicos, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, you name it, we searched high and low for the best deal. It was fun! We all left with many treasures, but the biggest treasure was spending time with loved ones.
