Taste of N'awlins

Last Saturday, Hannah, Tammy, and I went to Sugarmill Pond to see "Reaux for Miles," a dragon boat race sponsored by the Miles Perret Center. Miles Perret is a cancer support center that has helped Tammy a lot during her battle with cervical cancer. They have given our family books, pamphlets, and tons of information on how to deal with cancer, and they have paid for many of Tammy's presciptions, no questions asked. We never even filled out paperwork. They just talk to the doctor and then when you come in, they take care of filling your needs. They are an amazing group and I am proud to support them whenever I can.
This group of pink dragonboat racers are ALL breast cancer survivors. They were AWESOME to watch!! Such precision!

Susan G. Komen Race

All the balloons represents a cancer survivor.

The family all came out to show love to Tammy!
Yes, she is!!!
My sister is such a champ. She had her last radiation on Tuesday, and her last chemo yesterday. And here she is at the Komen race for the cure. What determination!!

Sisters

This is a picture of the strongest person I know. My sister.
When you grow up with a sibling, you feel like you know them inside and out. But when cancer hits, you find out just how amazingly courageous they are. And you realize what a TRUE blessing it is to have them in your life. I hope I will be able to handle life's "happenings" the way Tammy has- with grace, dignity, humility, and with courage and and unwavering faith in God, our Healer. My sister is my hero.
